1. Reservation and deposit
Upon reservation, 100% of the total stay price is charged immediately and must be paid within 48 hours of receiving the payment details. The reservation is only definitively confirmed upon receipt of this full payment. Without timely payment within this period, the request automatically lapses and the accommodation is released again.
2. Cancellation conditions
Cancellation can only be made in writing (by e-mail) to max@chateaucharles.be. The date on which Château Charles receives the cancellation counts as the cancellation date. Depending on the timing of the cancellation relative to the planned arrival date, the following cancellation costs apply (as a % of the total stay price):
| Cancellation | Cost | Refund |
| More than 30 days before arrival | Free | 100% |
| Between 30 and 14 days before arrival | 25% | 75% |
| 14 days or less before arrival, or in case of no-show | 100% | 0% |
Where applicable, the refund is made within 14 days of confirmation of the cancellation, to the same account used for payment.
3. Changing the reservation
A change to the stay dates is possible free of charge, subject to availability, up to 30 days before the original arrival date. After that, a change is treated as a cancellation (see point 2), followed by a new reservation.
4. No-show
If the guest does not arrive on the planned arrival date without prior cancellation, this is considered a no-show. In that case, the full stay price (100%) remains due and will not be refunded.
5. Early departure
An early departure, for whatever reason, does not entitle the guest to a refund for the unused nights of the stay.
6. Cancellation by Château Charles
If Château Charles must cancel the reservation for reasons beyond its control (force majeure, technical failure, overbooking, etc.), the guest will be notified as soon as possible. In that case, the guest will be given the choice between a full refund or, if possible, an equivalent alternative stay.
7. Final provision
These Cancellation and Booking Conditions form an integral part of Château Charles’s General Terms and Conditions and are subject to the same applicable law and the same competent court (see art. 13 of the General Terms and Conditions).
